Change the colors. They blow up your eyes.

Oh? I sort of like the colors... but maybe they look different on different monitors. My monitor is pretty dark. I'll create another color scheme for this forum. I'm currently trying out different color schemes, but as the selection of colors is a little limited, it's pretty difficult to get an arrangement that looks nice. Until I get an alternate color scheme up, there's the "Default" skin which is a plain blue and grey color scheme. It's boring but probably not as hard on the eyes. The thing is, you have to kind of be registered to change the skin (color scheme) of the forum. I plan on making a few more skins besides this one so that members can change the color scheme if they get tired of this one.

The colors actually aren't limited. The colors shown to you are just a small percent. What forums like this use are called hex colors. Hex colors come in many diffrent shades. A good site for hex colors is here www.december.com/html/spec/color.html If you want to make me and admin I could make some skins for you.

Wow, thanks! ^-^ I'll be able to make tons of great color schemes with these! ^-^ I'm not hiring any staff members yet, but as soon as my forum gets big enough, I'll be hiring more mods. I'm not sure how to give other people administrator status. My login name (admin) and password give access to the administration area, but I'm not sure if anyone else can actually get in there besides the person who has the username "admin". Sorry if that sounded confusing, but... I'm still getting used to forums. ^-^ When my forum gets a lot bigger, I'll be hiring more mods, Global Moderators, and if it gets large enough I might even hand out administrator status (if I find out how). ^-^ I know other forums do that but my forum isn't very big right now. Admin powers scare me so much (I'm not joking), I'm probably not having more than one admin on the forum right now (I will probably have more later though). But if you want to make your own skin for the forum I could temporarily give you admin status so you can get into my administration area and make your own skin. When I said administrator powers scare me, I really wasn't kidding. Once you get into my administration area you literally have complete control of the forum. Anyone who has access to the admin area can alter people's profiles and change their status. That means people could change from members to mods, or mods or members, or admins could lose their status, etc. People can be kicked out of the forum (with the exception of the original forum administrator), boards and categories can be deleted, and well... yeah. As I said, administrator powers are scary, scary things. But if you want to make your own skin I could give you admin status for a while... just don't tell anyone or they'll all be wanting admin status... ^-^ Lol. Everyone's going to view this page anyway. ^^

One thing you could do is make a test account. If you noticed by making a new member group you don't have to give someone complete control. You could from your admin acount make a new group and try giving it only powers to make skins. Then test this out on the test account which of course belongs to you. That way you can insure you are only giving away the powers you want. Don't worry. I'm still learning about forums too...

Thanks. I'll try that. ^-^ Then I'll delete the account afterwards. ^-^
I created a new account, so if anyone's wondering who "A.A." is, it's my test account. On most forums, admins would ban anyone who created multiple accounts, but I'm not going to do that because 1/ I can't very well ban myself and 2/ Multiple accounts isn't on my list of banning conditions. I have five reasons for banning people and creating duplicate accounts is not one of them. Because I don't see anything wrong with it. ^-^ I don't know what A.A. really stands for... I guess it could mean "Alternate Account" or "Assistant Admin" or something like that. ^-^
I'd better get back on topic (forum colors) before a mod gets after me for spamming. ^-^ Lol.
