Hey guys. ;D
I had been reading cool western comics like Tex Arcana, and I just thought of setting Mineral town in a place where the sun sets, where native americans roam and coyotes sing (dang, it's gonna be cliched).
However, unlike most western stories, there's going to be supernatural stuff: Werewolves, ghosts, witches, vampires, etc. can be available, as long as it's all tied in the story.
Alright, here's the tale:
The dusty old Mineral Town was once an industrial place surrounded by catacombs of gold mines. It wasn't until the rich vein of gold had ran dry, leaving the town to a much quieter and solitary life.
However, strange things are happening to some of the people who live there.
Children are waking up with marks on their necks, and the animals are getting hysterical.
It's up to you to investigate what's going on, or or at least protect the citizens from the possible danger.
Here's the characters:
Doug: The inn keeper of the town's inn, he manages the bar at night.
Ann: Doug's daughter, she likes to hang out in the nearby river at early mornings.
Duke: A constant customer of Doug's, he writes The Town Crier, the town's newspaper. He also has a good taste with wine.
Manna: Duke's wife, she's often lonely and is very chatty. She's the one that knows most of the people, and the town's rumours.
Doctor: The doctor and veterinerian of the town. He's trying to see if the strange marks are symptoms of a virus.
Elli: Granddaughter of Ellen and midwife, she is concerned for the children.
Stu: Elli's little brother, he's the first one with the marks, and so far is getting weaker and weaker.
Ellen: Elli's disabled grandmother.
Kai: A foreigner that often visits the town in summer, he has distinct knowledge of the outside world.
Rick: A farm boy who looks after his family's chicken farm, he has trouble keeping track of his chickens, for once in a full moon a certain no. of the chickens disappear. Evidence suggests a predator had been nearby.
Popuri: Sister of Rick, she's a naive girl who likes to wander outside sometimes.
Lillia: Mother of Rick and Popuri, she once had a similar symptom of having the marks on her neck in her youth, and is rather delicate in health.
Maria: The bookish daughter of Basil and Anna, she manages the library, which had recently recieved great donations of fantastic books given by mysterious people from the cities.
Anna: Wife of Basil, she's very prim and proper, and believes Maria shouldn't be exposed to unlady-like matters.
Basil: Interested in the wildlife of Mineral town, he made the most detailed accounts of the nature. He constantly is trying to keep track of new species.
Cliff: A mysterious beggar, he seems to be highly disturbed with a lot of secrets. He visits the towns church constantly, why? No one knows....
Carter: The priest who manages the church, he's the one who know Cliff best.
Jeff: Owns the supermarket, he's pretty at-home and rarely goes out.
Sasha: Jeff's wife. She's best frends with Anna and Manna.
Karen: The beautiful daughter of Jeff and Sasha, she hangs out with Rick. She also has this habit of taking long moonlight walks.
Bareley: An owner of the ranch, he's concerned of his livestock which are getting more troubled in each passing day.
May: Another victim of the mark, she has this imaginary friend whom she calls 'Aja', and is often annoyed that people call her a liar.
Gotz: A lone man that lives in the outskirts of the town, he was once a skinner and used to live with a tribe of native americans, until his native wife and child had died. He has a deep respect with nature.
Saibara: The town's blacksmith who has great skill with anything metal.
Gray: Saibara's grandson, he often tries to explore the mines to see if there's any gold, due to his love for ores.
Won: a mysterious merchant with possibly a dark side. It's almost impossible to completely trust him.
Zack: A tough guy who manages the trade between this town and the outside.
Harris: The mayor's son, he is the only policeman in the town and patrols the town. He feels anything that goes on is heis responsibility and he should check it out.
Mayor: The mayor of the town.
Harvest Sprites: Mysterious creatures who appear whenever there's trouble.
The Harvest Goddess: Worshipped by the natives and christians alike, she's the patron goddess of harvest and good health.
Kappa: A water-demon that inhabits a water hole nearby.
Gourmet: A glutton and host of culinary battles in the spring festival. His winter storage of food was torn apart one night, perhaps done by a wild animal, and is so staying at the mayor's when his house became unlivable.
Right, you can play as them or create a new character.
Once you're your own character and start interacting with the other characters, you can also build relationships with them. You can court with the original male characters of the game and, if you wish, marry them. However, as always, you must keep in mind of the rules in this RPG.
Also, about these character bios, I think it should be best to be creative and include alot of things for yourself.
For example, if you're posting a bio about an original character you designed, you should also include things about yourselves like, what are you doing in that place and why, that kind of thing makes it alot more easier to take part in the RPG story.
Here's the rules of the RPG:
1. Don't swear.
2.Don't speak like this: OMG tHIS IS SO RADD lolol.
3. Don't insult one another.
3.Don't fight each other because of your differences.
4. You can only make one character.
Okay, thanks for reading all this. Now start on your mission!
